Your Function :
You provide actuarial modelling support to the entities;
You ensure consistency across all opco’s with regards to valuation principles;
You are the Vice - Chairman of the Group Life Technical Committee in which methodological and model design issues are discussed - you seek consensus among the local model managers to agree on a common approach, which you subsequently submit for approval;
You are in the lead in the generation of ESG files for AFM (VIP I-tech) users, to ensure a timely delivery of the data for the quarterly and year end reporting;
You are able to translate complex modelling and design issues into layman terms. You can easily understand coding software such as VBA, prophet, VIP I-Tech, or any similar (actuarial) software coding language;
You ensure that design specifications are clearly documented;
You participate at working groups/seminars and forums outside the insurance company to benchmark with peers on valuation related matters;
You challenge the results on LAT, SII and MCEV per entity. You have a good understanding of IFRS. You issue quarterly group risk opinion on the LAT;
You participate in the yearly model assessment and actuarial function reporting for life entities;
You ensure smooth collaboration with group Finance, reporting and Corporate Performance Management;
You instruct and delegate ad hoc sensitivity analysis on request by senior management;
You maintain good external networks (peers, insurance industry);
You monitor, coach and integrate the new comers into the Group’s business culture;
You inform the Director of Valuation and Life Risks on critical issues;

Your Profile :
You have obtained a Master in economics, applied economics, statistics, mathematics or engineering. An actuarial degree is a plus;
You have acquired at least 6 to 10 years’ experience in the area of risk management, in particular a deep knowledge of Solvency II and its implications is a must;
You follow closely the financial and insurance market evolutions;
You have a strong working knowledge of English, Dutch and/or French, both orally and in writing;
You are interested in and capable of working within different cultural and legal environments;
You are good in analyzing and synthetizing;
You are a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and working together with peers and outside parties;
You have strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills;
You can function autonomously and take on responsibilities;
You are dynamic and creative, proactive, solution driven and pragmatic, capable of translating technical complex modelling aspects into clear language.
You are able to assess main risks in your area of expertise;
