Are you dreaming of an autonomous job that stimulates your passion for engineering and mechanics? There is room in the steering cabin of our locomotives. As a train driver, you will be deployed on our many national and international destinations.
Goods transport by train will become increasingly more important in the future. It is far less detrimental to the environment and mobility than road transport. Furthermore, it is often safer and more efficient.
Lineas is one of the largest European private enterprises in the area of goods transport by rail.
We therefore believe that it is our responsibility to convince companies to opt for the modal shift away from the road towards more goods by rail.
We carry out that ambitious task with the best products, innovative services, a large fleet and a great deal of passion and input for our customers. We want to grow and make a real difference on an international scale.
Why are we looking for train drivers?
Because we are expanding. Not just a little expansion either. We are working for more and more customers, on more and more routes and with trains that are becoming longer all the time. Motivated and technically-minded train drivers are crucial to keep our business running.
What does that mean in practice?
You drive your train. That starts with inspecting the locomotive and carrying out tests and braking trials. And it ends with courteous, friendly communication with the customer. Furthermore, when you are on the move, you are responsible for everything that happens with the train. From the locomotive down to the final wagon.
Do you have what it takes for for this job?
You can not do this job without a healthy dose of responsibility and a sense of autonomy. It is also important to be able to withstand stress to take the right decisions at important times (together with your colleagues in the control room, of course). Technical insight is also important.
We make sure that you have what you need for the job.
You join a young and energetic company where it is moving fast. That opens nice perspectives for your career. In addition, you get a solid training and a lot of coaching and nice colleagues on day one. With us, you're not a number but you're part of an enthusiastic team.
You get an employee contract, works 38 hours a week with a good work-private balance, earn a nice pay with bonuses, and enjoy quite a few attractive fringe benefits:
